   Guidelines - The Avid Reader badge is an initiative to acknowledge the love to read and read to excel in one’s knowledge and perception of the world. It recognizes the students who show passion to read books from the School Library.
Avid Reader Award was introduced two years back. Since then we have got a wonderful response. Hence from the next academic year [2018-19] onwards the selection of the awardees will be undertaken in a more objective way. STUDENTS WILL APPLY FOR THE BADGE.

Objectives –
• Students must read voraciously in order to excel in reading skills and language skills

Who Can Apply?
• All students from std I to IX are eligible to apply for the to be an Avid Reader.

Greeting from discovery Team! This year the Science Department and the Discovery Team are collaboratively going to host the Young Budding Scientist Competition (YBSC 2018-19) in the school. The competition is for all the students of Std. III to Std. X. The project canbe done individually or in groups (max.3 students in a group). The project exhibited by the students will be evaluated as one of the subject enrichment activities. The themes/ topics for the science projects for STD VII – STD X are as follows:

1. Natural Resource Management      2.Food and Agriculture    3.Energy   4Health, Hygiene and Nutrition.
5.Life Style and Livelihoods      6.  Disaster Management         7.Traditional Knowledge System.

Note: The students should be able to explain the projects as per their level of understanding.
The projects can be displayed in any one of the following forms:
a. Workingmodel  b. Survey based projects or investigative projects.
The students will be judged on the following criteria:
1. Students’ creativity.
2. Originality and innovative idea of exhibit.
3. Scientific thought / principle.

Kindly note that there is a change in school PT Uniform for (std 6th to 8th ) and school shoes for (std 1st to 10th ) :-
SCHOOL PT UNIFROM
1) This year onwards we have decided to have a long black track pant for girls and boys of std 6th to 8th as their school PT uniform. Kindly approach your dealer to get the correct size for your ward in the month of June. House colour and pattern of T Shirt will remain same as per the child’s house colour.
2) Std 9th and 10th already have a long track pant as their school PT uniform.
3) There is no change in the school PT uniform for std 1st to 5th and 9th & 10th .
4) Kindly note that there is no change in the regular school uniform.
SCHOOL SHOES
1) This year onwards students of std 1st to 10th will have to wear only one colour shoes i.e. Blue colour sports shoes for the entire week (Monday to Friday).
2) Kindly note that , no more white shoes to be worn on Wednesday
3) Optional :- During rainy season students can wear black leather shoes with blue socks only.
